Toni Watterson
NYC | CLE
TONI is a high-energy storyteller from Cleveland, Ohio, currently residing in New York City. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA in Theatre Arts & English in 2022 and has continued her training at the British American Drama Academy, The HB Studio, and The Barrow Group.
WITH a strong stage presence and infectious enthusiasm, Watterson takes great joy in playing endearing ditzes, headstrong schemers, and fiery underdogs. Driven by a desire to experience everything and entertain everyone, she moved to Manhattan at the age of 22 with little more than a suitcase and a bagful of books. She has since found a rich community of generous, talented performers in The Department of Fools, a clown troupe, and The Snarks, a women's theater company based in Murray Hill.
SHE has a deep appreciation for misunderstood characters who beat incredible odds, knowing the greatest wins are those hardest won.
WHETHER at the PIT Loft, the Amateur Comedy Club, or prowling the streets of Little Italy in a traditional commedia mask, Watterson throws herself into every role with the eager curiosity of someone who knows there's always more to learn.
COME see her original play, Mr. Griffin, Ms. Taylor, in the New York Theater Festival's summer lineup!
